I was diagnosed with ADHD this year. It was both a relief and a surprise. The knowledge that some of my struggles had a root in undiagnosed ADHD helped validate my lived experience. It also brought a profound sense of loss and some grief for all that could have been different. After healing, I'm not wasting any time. I'm a better therapist, friend, student, mother, and wife because I employed some skills and some pharmacological support to help my brain rest. That's currently the right treatment for me.
I am passionate about helping others determine if ADHD is at the root of / or a contributing factor to some pretty significant symptoms.
